transport updates

Here's a photo of Jenne's mashed frame.

She removed all the good bits. It was a sad day. I might be able to bend the tubing back and weld gusset plates to either side... In the meantime everybody's looking for a new frame, even the neighbors. Here's one we like.

I finally fixed the leaky oil gauge. (that's the old one) the ring around the outside is actually a tube, as the oil pressure builds it tries to straighten out, causing that little arm on top to pivot, which turns a gear on the shaft, making the needle (removed) go up. beautiful.

Hey out there!
I like the orange frame too.
And that oil gauge is beautiful indeed.

Y'know, on the subject of tinkering with precision, you should really go down to Santa Barbara and visit Bryan Mumford before you leave CA.
I think his website is bryanmumford.com. and/or crackpotinventor.com. We didn't get to see his shop, and I bet it's pretty interesting.

Jenne, have you checked out the Wednesday Chef? A good food blog.

This is not an April fool message, though I hope you have some fun today. Miss you guys! Raining here, on the snow we got yesterday. Everyone's a bit tired of winter.
